"Price" List
Considering that as non-indigenous folks here in Mexico, we’re all on stolen land, it seems awkward to charge people to stay on this property that we’re lucky enough to “own”. That said, we do have expenses like taxes, utility bills, building maintenance, cleaning, garden and courtyard maintenance, property management and so on. Moreover, we take pride in employing and fairly compensating local gardeners, cleaners, etc., thereby contributing to the Nayarit and surrounding economy. AND, as of January 2023, we are the custodians of the Little Free Library and Enchanted Forest next door.
In light of this, we propose the following suggested donations, to help offset our expenses a bit:

All suggested contributions above are for November - April, and include an initial bottle of water and a roll of toilet paper to get you started, as well as basic kitchen supplies such as salt and pepper, oil, etc. Weekly or bi-weekly linen change and light cleaning is also included. Please note, these figures are based on a 15:1 MXN:CAD ratio. When exchange rates differ significantly (i.e. more than 1.5) from this ratio, pesos are strongly preferred, since that is how we pay our local gardener, cleaner, garbage pick up, water bill, gas, etc., etc. Thank you.

Alternative Contributions:
We try to keep our suggested donations as reasonable as possible, while paying our support staff a livable wage. Periodically, it may be more advantageous for our guests to contribute fully or in part either in services or by gift cards rather than cash. We gratefully accept the following (they also make a nice tip if you enjoyed your stay!)...
General: Books (new or used in good condition) in Spanish, especially children's books. Also a high quality music stand. Vera is also always collecting donations for the school where she volunteers. Please reach out and ask about specific items needed by the students and/or teachers there.
