Casa Abierta is a strictly non-smoking, two-storey Mexican house located in the South End of Guayabitos, a little over an hour from Puerto Vallarta, between Los Ayala and La Penita. We are a short walk from the beach and main drag with many shops, restaurants and even a cinema! We have covered bicycle parking with a rack for two bikes.
While we are away for the summer, we have several people looking in on the house, but also offer it to non-smoking singles, couples and families (max 5 people) looking for a beautiful place to live for 4 months or longer.

Main Floor Suite
The unit includes three bedrooms with a total of 6 beds. It can be used as a full unit, or just 1 or 2 bedrooms, depending on your circumstances. Each room has its own ensuite, 3-pce bath and space to hang your clothes. There is also a chair, two side tables and a table lamp in every bedroom. A full-length mirror is included in two of the three rooms.
The unit includes three bedrooms with a total of 6 beds. It can be used as a full unit, or just 1 or 2 bedrooms, depending on your circumstances. The house is quite breezy, but two of the three bedrooms also have air conditioning. (Please note, it does get quite hot and humid during the summer months.)
The main floor unit includes a private kitchen, living and dining area, small courtyard with a nighttime view of the stars, and a patio with outdoor BBQ and sink area, looking out to a generous garden with mango, avocado and coconut trees, and lots of other Mexican plants. Ample outdoor seating allows you to enjoy this lush, exterior space, and our gardener comes weekly to take care of watering and maintenance, so that you can sit back and relax!

You can make your donation below in pesos to our property managers, or by etransfer if preferred, in CAD. Suggestions listed below are for April-October only, minimum 4 month stay, in exchange for some property maintenance:

- walking through all rooms 1x/week to turn on fans/air conditioner for one hour
- flush all toilets and run water in all sinks and shower 1-2 times/week
- manage little free library next door (tidy books/boardgames/puzzles, replace books from donations shelf, etc.)
- report any damage or flooding to owner and/or property manager - please note, our street does flood in the summer rains, but we have floodgates and a sump pump installed to mitigate.
Weekly visits by gardener, cleaner and possibly property manager will continue throughout your stay.
