Cheap & Cheerful Tejaban
In the backyard, we have built a small 10 x 12 ft Tejaban. When we are on site, we sometimes use this space as an outdoor office, workout spot and siesta hangout. Main floor guests may also arrange to use this as an open air art studio. At other times, or when we are not around, we share this space as a cheap and cheerful option for travellers on a budget!
You will be ensconced on one side by a half wall of brightly-coloured glass and tile in this breezy, shaded corner of our lush gardens. Two custom-made stools feature storage inside, and a wide platform offers a desk or raised single bed option.
Bring your own mattress and bedding, or sleep in the hammock or one of the lounge chairs. Shared access to garden, laundry line for hanging wet bathing suits, etc., private outdoor washroom and sink. An outdoor BBQ and additional sink provide an excellent spot for preparing fresh, local foods. Two rustic wooden chairs and a table next to the tejaban are ideal for a private morning coffee.
As this is an outdoor space, please remember to bring insect repellant.
